The series Cine Ink Drama offers both- radio plays and adaptations of stage plays.

The first play in the series is Safar, written & directed by Pervaiz Alam. Safar was first staged in 2003 at the Watermans Arts Centre, London, followed by further stage shows in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leicester and Westend’s (London) prestigious theatre, Linbury studio.

‘Safar’ (The Journey) is a tale of an exodus from imaginary homelands and of perpetual, irrepressible longing for such paradises lost, involving the partition of India in 1947.

Safar, based on two episodes, features three of the the UK-based actors, Hina Baxi, Krishna Kant Tandon and Pervaiz Alam.
