Based in London, Chaman Lal Chaman became a household name the moment Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh sang ‘Saun Da Mahina, Yaro Saun Da Mahina’ penned by Chaman. A broadcaster and a poet, Chaman Lal has written a Bhangra song for Gurinder Chadha’s Bride and Prejudice, and many songs and ghazals for Jagjit Singh and his wife Chitra Singh.
